![]() But then you try 21+ and shit just stomps on you until you REALLY push either your timing, technique, health, chart reading, or stamina. Then when you do that overwhelming sense of accomplishment happens, And you try a few more, and more, all the time getting better and healthier. If you are overweight, unfit, etc, you`re going to be slowly getting more fit and learning stamina saving techniques, possibly even eating healthier so you can break your first level 20 songs. By leaving the default window open, it makes an initial foothole for new players to step in and be able to play and have fun just working out and slamming out harder stuff learning what timing is and how to apply it, then when they do the game instantly becomes -hey I got timing down, Time to learn some of these harder patterns!- So they jump into S8 / S11 / S14 and then it turns into -Alright I got these solid scores down, Its time to get a little fitter so I can breath during these harder songs!- And, Now this is a huge key point to breaking the level 20 wall. PIU is a game where the difficulty curve is not a -We have difficult timing windows to make it hard- Its a game where technique of movement, energy saving, and overall going batshit crazy physical is the end game of it.Where games like DDR the top level players nearly do absolutely perfect in the hardest songs, they cant even clear the hardest in PIU because so much technique and actual stamina is needed to get a clear. If not that's cool but fix the sync of songs, and fix the imbalanced timing windows so that the judgment modifications make sense. So yeah, overall I would like Andamiro to make the timing window just a bit more strict. Solitary 2 S17/S18 (or is it 18/19?) have the timing windows about 30ms different between the two charts. Even for the same song, different charts have different sync. Try turning on RANK mode and tell me shit isn't just screwed up for almost every song. Which brings me to another problem: the songs aren't synced well. The only time this is good is on the songs that are really early, and yeah there are plenty of those. This means at harder judgments you have to step late as fuck. The center of the timing window, visually, is at the late end of the perfect window in terms of the music. Pump timing windows are totally screwed up. Right now NJ is like 60 ms and I think it would be better if it was about 45 ms. Whereas the rest of the song he got almost all perfects. I saw this guy get shit tons of greats and goods in the slowdown on Gargoyle Full S23 (24?) because he just can't time. Also people just generally don't learn timing because of how lenient the timing windows are. Happy Feets for example why are they going to play easy songs when they can PFC everything below 23. No point in playing anything below 18 for high level players. ![]() I know a lot of people think PIU doesn't need more strict timing but I think it makes songs at lower level seem bad. I've read a lot of stuff here and in the Facebook group and I'm overall just having some issues with Andamiro.
